Like so many game apps its about getting you to make in-game purchases. So the dice are rigged to give the advantage to the computer. As a statistician, Ive encountered multiple scenarios where the probability of the particular combination of rolls is statistically improbable. Once maybe, multiple times in same game its the app trying to rob your wallet. This is an amazing game and I grew up with and love it. Playing on an iPad takes away a lot of the time involved in set up, adding, etc. Thus it is sad not to recommend a really great board games for others to try. I know Im old fashioned, but one day I hope they get pricing figured out on games. I want to enjoy a game on my device; not be gamed out of the money in my pocket.
